About 2M Fruits

Our Story

2M Fruits (Pty) Ltd was established in 2021 as the vision of Petrus Malan, a lifelong farmer driven to add value to farm-grown produce. 2M Fruits is a fruit purée processing organisation that produces fruit and vegetable purées such as guava, pear, apple, peach, and tomato. The production facility is located on a working farm in Wellington, in the Western Cape, allowing close control over quality from harvest through to processing. 2M Fruits was founded not only to add value to fruit produced on the farms, but also to maintain greater control over marketing and sales from orchard to customer.

The Malan family has been farming for generations, and an important part of bringing this vision to life was the involvement of Jan-Hendrik Malan, sixth-generation farmer and Petrus Malan’s son, who played a key role in the development of the factory. He was closely involved in the planning and setup of the facility, helping coordinate equipment procurement and overseeing its establishment.

The farm was initially purposed for wine grape production and a grapevine nursery, with a strong focus on its grapevine nursery still in place today. The Malan family focuses on fruit production while continuing to operate a vine nursery on their farms in Wellington, Western Cape, approximately 65 km from Cape Town. They are planting fruit specifically to supply the 2M Fruits factory, with continued expansion planned.
